Thanks Foteos and Andrew. I was just hoping someone out on the list
was working on some strategy. Many cookies I could care less about
sharing with Netscape. However, some sites appear to use the cookies
to store personal preferences, etc. Those cookies are the ones which
I myself want to share, if I am going to use cookies at all. I mean,
I don't want to have to have two login ids, enter personal preferences
twice, etc. However, I understand that the cookie mechanism is evolving,
that Netscape is keeping their format undocumnted, and that it appears
they don't follow the standards (what else is new ;-). Perhaps someone
who is learning about cookies will eventually be able to write some sort
of 'filter' to translate back and forth between the formats so that
a user can have one account that can be shared between various
browsers.
