LYNX-DEV has anyone investigated enhancements to lynx's newspost code?

There are several features which I really miss when reading news with lynx.
The easiest two are auto-signing of postings (ie appending the user's
signature to the end of the postings) and providing the user with a copy
of postings s/he makes.

Has anyone investigated making these changes?  I know lynx is not
intended to be a full featured news reader.  However, right now,
the news master here has no time to figure out why regular news readers
are failing and so I get to use lynx.
