LYNX-DEV Lynx hacking

Hi all. I am in need of some direction.

I have a semi port of preLynx2-7 for Windows 95 console (dos propt) mode.
It is based on the image from the FM archive on Feb 5 at 9PM. It is
compiled using Borland C++ 4.52 and uses winsock and PDCurses 2.3. I say
semi because although it seems to be able to do all the net functions
(news, ftp, web, gopher, form posting...) it doesn't have any provisions
to handle the DOS filesystem or utilities (file:/// URL's including the
bookmarks, sending mail, cp'ing a downloaded file...).

I have tried _VERY_ hard to do the right thing. I believe that I have
achieved this semi-port with proper ifdef'ing so that it can be merged
back into the mainstream. This is the part I need help with. The code is
already a couple days old so there is some difference there. I am also a
little worried about the reliability of diff because my port has been
touched with DOS tools (-b mode seems to handle this, but I am not sure).
I also had to create my own makefile. If files are added and deleted from
Lynx then that will need to be altered too.

I also found three buglets in the lynx code that I fixed in my version.
One ifdef problem in HTTCP.c and a couple of type cast problems (char to
BOOLEAN). I can detail these if people want, or if my code is to be
merged then it can be fixed then. It only affects brain dead ports anyhow
:-)

I already have some of the code for the DOS differences. It just needs to
be massaged in. I come forward at this time because I believe this can be
merged and don't want to get too far off center. If someone could guide
me in what I should do I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Wayne.
