I remember this discussion from a while back.  I believe, according to
http://www.flora.org/lynx-dev/lynx-dev/9605/0208.html, if you define the
following it should fix the problem:

#define remove unlink

Since I am not sure where that *should* go, I would put it in userdefs.h.

By the way, I was able to find that info thanks to the great Lynx
search-helper page created by Subir.
