I'd like to see Rob's stuff also (my impression talking to him was that I
should wait-and-see, but this is a good time to start integrating).

(and if you find some juicy bugs in ncurses, I'll go back & chew them up ;-)

I expect it'll only make life more difficult in the sense that someone has
to go back & rebuild all of the platforms that we'll consolidate into one
makefile (i.e., all of the *NIX systems).  Otherwise there's no impact.
