Henry mentioned some intresting ideas. I won't quote his article here, but let
me add to a few of them:

I think his idea of throwing " Klaus's, Wayne's and Rob's work" "into the pot"
is a great idea. You guys close enough to think about integration?

I wouldn't call the result 2.8 yet, however. Lets call it it 2.7.1 or some
such. Or maybe something like 2.7-dev. Anyway, lets get it semi stable before
we call it 2.8.

About using my site for official development. I would be happy to host an
official dev site if folks feel this is a good idea. I can provide a few
accounts much like I did for Fote, but I do mean a few. Maybe three or four.
I have most of the tools needed online here. Fote has pointed out a slight
library problem with stargs stuff that I'll have to fix. If we do something
like that, however, should we get a lynx.org subdomain set up for SLCC/lynx
stuff?

My own thoughts regarding the new subthreads that need to be folded into 2.7:
Let the first person ready to do so, put out a 2.7-dev. Then, as the others
get ready, they can fold in thier changes (which would be done against 2.7
initially, then reworked against 2.7-dev?). I strongly feel that we have a
lot of really good stuff just over the horizon for lynx. Fote has truly set
us up to go on strongly if we just work out the organizational aspects.

I personally will be happy to do what I can to help. I do have control of some
good resources here, but sometimes fall WAY short on time. Let me know what
I can do.

Scott
