not X11R6.3 : XFree86 3.2 (3.2A is based on X11R6.3, but the latter contains
no color support past the foreground/background).

I've a copy at

        ftp.clark.net:/pub/dickey/xterm

and a newer vttest program at

        ftp.clark.net:/pub/dickey/vttest

which you can use to compare.
