monochrome, and CAN display the reverse image, but not in a usable form.
I am not familiar with the termcap or terminfo services on Linux.
If you nose around there you can possibly intercept and nullify
reverse-video escape sequences for users with these terminals. That
would kill reverse video for all programs, but if it's unreadable on
these terminals that sounds like a price you would be willing to pay.
