There are many pages with pictures/image links without an ALT. What about
this:

Images without an ALT could get an "automatic" ALT, derived from the name
of the image. If you have for example

<IMG SRC="logo.gif">

it would get displayed as

[logo] 

which is more descriptive than [IMAGE] or [INLINE] or [LINK].. 

What do you think?
