LYNX-DEV lynx on standalone system ...

Dear Sir/Madam,
  I am interested in using Lynx on a stand alone PC.  I wanted to create a
simple text based library system for my own use.  The problem is Lynx
doesn't seem to run on a single non-network stand alone system.  Every time
I try to execute Lynx (under Dos) it said no packet driver found.  I am
using the DJGPP port (Lynx 2.7) with MsDos 6.0.  I just wonder is there any
simple way to get around this problem?  or do I have to dig into the source
code?
