You can of course also use the patch-o-matic page at

but the scripts aren't yet fully aware of the latest version strings
I have invented :)

The URL listed first has the old character-style code from Rob 
merged with the other changes *except* auto config and Tom's SVR4-curses
(SLang-like) color stuff.  You'll have to figure out yourself how
to modify the Makefile in order to enable Rob's code, it is basically
as I received it.

For both URLs:
The changes from Fote up to 2.7.1 and beyond are all included (up to 
the form hack), also (for now) my ISMAP hack.   There are finally
new data files for character translation (KOI8-R, Hynek's Latin-2
entities, ..), but no significant change in the chartrans code (it still
won't work for ALT text..)
