Okay, I attempted to compile with this version of lynx, even though
I have serious concerns about the way configure did it's job (see the
earlier posting by me.

After a few items are compiled, I am getting this. Note this is AFTER
I did a make distclean . It's on a SPARC Solaris 2.4 system using Sun's
unbundled C compiler. As previously mentioned, I've requested ncurses
and color-styles.

cc -c -o ../../Library/unix/SGML.o -DHAVE_CONFIG_H
-I/projects/gnu/sparc-sun-solaris2.4/include
-I/projects/gnu/sparc-sun-solaris2.4/include/ncurses -DDIRED_SUPPORT
-DLONG_LIST -DEXP_CHARTRANS -I../../../src -I../../.. -g -DDIRED_SUPPORT
-DLONG_LIST -DEXP_CHARTRANS -I../../../src -I../../..
-I../../Library/Implementation/ -DXMOSAIC_HACK -DACCESS_AUTH
../../Library/Implementation/SGML.c
