The form has enctype="multipart/formdata", and Lynx through v2.6
did not support that, so it disabled the form fields so that you couldn't
submit it, nor enter stuff pointlessly into the form.
That enctype is supported as of v2.7, so the answer to this
FAQ is "Upgrade Lynx at your site!".
