LYNX-DEV Using $HOME/.lynx to store lynx config files

Subject: LYNX-DEV Using $HOME/.lynx to store lynx config files
Date: Thu, 12 Jun 1997 13:46:42 EDT

There was some discussion last month about using a private
lynx specific directory like ~/.lynx to store all of lynx's
configuration files. (Specifically, starting with
http://www.flora.org/lynx-dev/html/month0597/msg00411.html.)
The idea seemed well received, but I wasn't able to find any sort of
resolution to the discussion,

So, was there any resolution? has anyone implemented it? I need a
place to store personal certificates and trust parameters for
lynx-cert, and avoiding home-dir clutter would be cool.

(In other news, I'm continuing to update the lynx-cert spec page
as I see comments from people and as I run into issues that I hadn't
thought of when I wrote a section.)
