I've been subscribed to lynx-dev on and off for some months now and
the only "spam" i've seen has been 1 or 2 posts about a new search engine.
There are also the automatically generated posts about help pages missing
at certain sites running an older version of lynx. This is annoying and takes
up space in the archives, but I don't see that this is any reason to block
all mail from non-subscribers.
Did I miss a spam episode during a time when I wasn't subscribed?
I've even made posts at times when I wasn't actually subscribed,
and checked the archives for feedback. I know of at least 1 other person who
does this.
Anyway, my $0.02. :)
