you need to give us more details.
are you using your XT as a terminal to another system
or using doslynx with a simple dial-in access to the Net?
(i use an XT as a terminal with Kermit to access a UNIX system
on which i have compiled Lynx 2-7 & which officially runs Lynx 2-6).
it sounds as if you have been using Lynx on a shared system
& the sysadmin has disabled the g command.
if so, you should inquire of him/her to get redress.
