Yes, but...

Both MS and Netscape allegedly provide source code for a JS interpreter.
It would not be legal to include either of these in GPL'ed software.  I
haven't tracked either one of them down, and don't intend to.  The
interpreter I'm creating has been made from scratch, and thus no licence
violations should occur.

Am I getting into a grey area by using a *grammar* that was copyrighted?
(Note:  the grammar was not "patented".  Large difference.)  I don't think
so, but let me ask a lawyer friend for an opinion.  It helps that the
grammar I'm using was a "Prelminary [sic] Draft" and that I've made a few
modifications to it.

The only true difficulty I see is advertising that lynx is "JavaScript
Enabled".  There, I'd be using a Netscape trademark, and they probably
would have some leverage.

But let me ask someone who is more knowledgable than I am and I'll get
back to you.
