It won't work on captive Lynx accounts (unless they're grossly
misconfigured).

It also, unfortunately, won't work on most versions of SCO Unix, which
stupidly report the host name as the OS name (and "3.2 2" as the release
and version, no matter what version it is).  This is f***ing stupid and
I can say so, since I work at SCO.  I've been trying to get it fixed for
almost 8 years.  :-(

  vagabond vagabond 3.2 2 i386 <-- any of 7 pre-1995 versions
  SCO_SV vagabond 3.2 2 i386   <-- finally gives OS name, but not version
