I'm the only bug!  "Transparent" seems to have solved the "problem"
(post on the way).  Chartrans is a master piece!  I was trying to run
Lynx with no setting at all in lynx.cfg concerning character sets.

I'll try to remember doing something like uuencoding or putting the
example up on my http server (on Neptune).  One with SJIS versus
ISO-2202-JP is at "http://163.51.110.11/lynxdev/SJISvISO2022JP.html";.

Really am sorry to cause you this headache when you're trying so hard
to get the new release out.
