The use of [CTRL]+A turns out to be a bad choice.  If you are
running Lynx in a `screen' virtual terminal, hitting ^A the
first time in the Options page does nothing, the second time
bounces you out of the terminal to another of the virtual
terminals going.  (^A is the prefix `screen' uses for getting
it's run-time commands.)
