reluctance of blind advocates to endorse modern technology (give
or take).]

There is an element of truth in what he says, and an element of
exaggeration.  I hope this post does not represent median opinon
on Usenet, because it fails to give adequate credit to the the
importance of a connected and working text web as the backbone of
Web content.  But you knew that.
