chatlines aren't my kind of thing,
but the message means the site has been changed
& its site manager doesn't know how to write HTML (the Internet language).
probably you are using an early version of Lynx
which can't handle more recent types of bad HTML.
the latest version of Lynx is 2-7-1,
which you can get from  lynx.browser.org ,
but you sound as if you're a novice around the WWW & software,
so the best advice may be for you to contact your system administrator
& ask them to update Lynx for everyone on your system.
if that's no good, ask again here, giving your version of Lynx
(enter  =  or  h  or  o  for screens which display it)
& the exact URL of the chatline you are having a problem with.
