LYNX-DEV forget high level of optimization

I got lynx2.7.1ac-0.89 to compile at optimization level -O4, BUT
the image was larger (1097728 bytes) than at -O2 (1040384 bytes).
This is SunOS4.1.3/gcc-2.7.2.  It *used* to be the other way around.
Shrug.
