LYNX-DEV Lynx / News bug?

We have experienced a bug in Lynx 2.7.1 when we went from VMS 6.2 to VMS
7.1 using MultiNet 4.0B in both environments. 

We attempted to rebuild Lynx, but get the same error when we run the 
rebuilt version.

Is this a known problem?  Any ideas?

When we attempt to read news we get the following:

confirmed, to notify the lynx-dev list.  Bug reports should have concise
descriptions of the command and/or URL which causes the problem, the
operating system name with version number, the TCPIP implementation, the
TRACEBACK if it can be captured, and any other relevant information.
