LYNX-DEV wishlist item

I'm just now catching up with my mail for the past month and haven't been
following lynx-dev closely...

Anyway, I have an item for the wishlist that I think woujld
be useful.

When sitting on a screenful of text entry fields the only way to navigate is
by hitting RETURN or up or down arrow.
Other lynx commands (such as space to go to next page) are entered as text.
It would really be nice if there were an input escapae command --
maybe something like ^V, that would get you out of line edit mode
and into lynx command mode. Let it prompt on the
status bar for a lynx command.

I haven't pondered this deeply for hidden pitfalls.
Does anyone see a reason not to do this?
I think this would be especially useful for blind users
who hate using the arrow keys to navigate.

Just a thought. Thanks.
