Subject: Bug?: Lynx creates a temporary file it doesn't erase

Yesterday I reported my experiences trying to configure bzip2.
What I found was that a temporary file was created by Lynx, but
not erased by Lynx upon a regular exit, i.e., pressing q => y.
It's a serious problem because on limited-resource machines,
the file system can be quickly filed up when the files are 1Mb+.

I'm appending the trace output from just before hitting [RETURN]
on the problem link to exiting Lynx with the `q' command. Why is
the ".arc" dropped from the file name? At the very end of this
message, I append the equivalent section from a trace log on a
".gz" file. This report is of ac-0.95, compiled with gcc-2.7.2
on SunOS4.1.3 using Slang, option --with-zlib.
