LYNX-DEV P command; also failed search

is anyone else puzzled &/or mildly irritated by the behaviour of Lynx
in the following respects? should the next version revise things? --

(1) the command p calls up a new screen giving 3 options:
    (a) save to file, (b) e-mail the page, (c) print to screen.
(a) is very useful & straightforward, but why would anyone want (b, c)?
i can easily e-mail the current page using  g  +  mailto:<e-address>
& this allows me to edit the file before sending it;
using (b) does add the list of URLs at the end,
but if i really want that i can use (a), then separately use elm .
as for (c), all it does is scroll the page down the screen too rapidly to read!
the whole process irritatingly redraws the screen twice whenever you use (a).
why not simply have p give a command-line message,
eg "Print to File: enter filename:" ?

(2) when you enter a search command which fails, the screen is redrawn:
this is especially irritating when you use n to jump to a point
in the middle of a page, but forget that the string has changed
(i know all about using the arrows to recall previous strings).
shouldn't we simply get the message "Search failed" ?

both of these are daily irritants to people with slow modems/links.
