so this is a complete recap? -- I had the impression there was more than
this. (I'll look at them, but it's usually been Klaus who checks them in).
I did look at the filename stuff a while yesterday to think about how to
make it simpler.

probably should review the whole filename list to see what's not 8.3 unique.
