   Dear Laura,

I have just tried accessing http://www.intac.com/~leaves/t.html with the
version of Lynx I'm using on my ISP, and the status line is correct. This
is ac-0.27 compiled without autoconf using the patch I had submitted to
lynx-dev at that time. Yes, this is an old version, and knowing that it
works is probably of no help to you, since you have already raised the
lower bound for the bug to ac-0.93.
As for trying the latest codeset, I have a problem with that. I consider
running autoconf a sin, just like running Netscrap, Windows, or any other
dark side software, and I won't do that _under any circumstances_. However,
if you tell me how to compile the latest Lynx codeset _without running
autoconf_, I'd be glad to try that on my ISP's BSDI system. I don't know
whether the patch I had submitted a long time ago will work, you'll have to
find it in the archive and try it.
I don't have time to play with these things right now, since I'm right
in the middle of the transition from my old computer to the new one. I'm
writing this while sitting on the floor of my room, with the monitor and
keyboard also on the floor, since I haven't assembled my new computer desk
yet.

   Sincerely,
   Michael Sokolov
