Thanks.  I found patch an d the man page but I still can't get it to work.
I type patch -p1 lynx2-7-1 <*94.patch 
and it complains lynx2-7-1 is not a regular file.
How do I get it to recursively patch? Do I have to list all files on the 
command line?
Can't it just deduce the files from the patch files?

I only skimmed hte man page (which is rather long).
What does everyone else use to reconstruct old versions?
