While Tcl has been ported to DOS, it wasn't done by the core development
group and I don't know if the changes were ever rolled back into the 
distribute core.  So it seems doubtful that Tcl is a good selection.
As for Guile, I don't know.  I frankly haven't been able to get guile
to compile on Solaris 2.5.1/SPARC, and my emails asking for help have never
stirred any replies, so I wasn't aware that further work was proceeding
in that camp.  I know that one common toolkit for generating extensions
across language barriers (SWIG) has been discussing dropping support
for GUILE due to apparently lack of progress with the language.
