LYNX-DEV forms bug caused by <center> tag (please read in plain text)

<center> tag bug (contains html tags - please read in plain text)

The following caused Lynx to choke on a form:

The page loaded and displayed nicely on Netscape 2.01 (Windows95), but
had missing form segments in Lynx 2.6 . When submitted, Lynx returned
a message to the effect of "no form action".

Suggested temporary fix for Lynx:
1. provide an option to disable <center> tags, or
2. include disabling of <center> tags in "historical" parsing.

I was able to work around it by removing the middle
"</center>...<center>" tags from
<center>...</center>...<center>...</center>.
The "</center><center>" tags were intended to turn off centering
in order to display the bolded text as left justified.

The website (modified with the work-around for Lynx) is:
http://www.scn.org/~bk269/wompats.html

Note that the <center> tag is turned off, and then turned on:

<h4>Partial List of Patents Obtained by Stan Protigal as Patent Attorney</h4>
<br>
The search will list only those patents which issued with the name 'Protigal'
in
the 'agent' field of the patent. This is the result of the name listed on a
form
used for payment of the patent's issue fee, and will not occur if a firm's name
or no name is inserted there. It was customery at Bendix and in the first few
years at Micron to include the names of several attorneys on patents, so there
are
some extra patents on this list. Authorship of the earlier patents should
coincide
with the first attorney's name listed on the document, either on-line or in
hard
copy.
