I have suggested the third possibility while ago.. Anyway, you can try the
current 2.7.2 version (available from www.slcc.edu/lynx/release) or the
current development version (www.slcc.edu/lynx/current), both of these
solve this problem automatically. For 2.7.1 you can set your Display
Character Set in the Options to ISO-8859-2 and set the Raw Mode on/off
('@' key or in the Options) until your display looks right.
