It is easy to set up downloader options in lynx.cfg.  There are
a number of good examples in the distribution lynx.cfg file; I use
  "DOWNLOADER:View file with Most:/usr/local/bin/most +s %s:TRUE"
as one of my options, which allows me to view almost any file regardless
of size, encoding or whatever.
