2-3 is hopelessly out of date:
goto  www.slcc.edu/lynx/release/  for the latest 2-7-2
or wait a few weeks for 2-8, which is currently being finalised;
get full information from  lynx.browser.org/ .

2-7-2 is Year 2000 compliant & 2-8 will confirm that in its documentation.
