right - the 9.x tic is an extension of SVr3 - the box characters are in
a different location from SVr4, and there's no color.  (The terminfo data
are aligned right up to just before the box characters start, so it'll work
for some stuff, but not others).  I would only notice the box characters if
I used the 'O'ptions menu, with something like 'C'haracter popup.

I think that is probably the setting for 'bce'.  If you are testing with
rxvt, for example, you may not have 'bce' set (or maybe HP's curses does
not support it in the manner that we're assuming -- I only know that
Solaris & IRIX are close enough that most applications - including Lynx -
don't show a difference here).  If you have bce set properly and it still
doesn't work, I'd like to get more details for the ncurses aspect.

I prefer the default-color scheme with ncurses best, but Lynx works properly
with the standard one as well.  I'm usually setting my xterm's to white
background, but minicom uses black.

ok (that was my intent).
