It most certainly does help.  Thanks very, very much.  Who would have
thought to use a Dos code page under Windows?

One other thing that helps is to use write.exe as the Windows editor
for lynx, because notepad.exe doesn't handle curve balls like text
files from web sites that send out Unix '\n' characters.
