The obvious solution, of course, is to use Lynx 2.8 and use ncftp or
wget as the external ftp downloader; both of these support ftp resume
(and wget supports http resume).  This way you can locate files with
Lynx and also have the features of wget or ncftp when you go to
download them.  The Unix philosophy:  many small tools working
together.
