Either set environment variable:

    export WWW_HOME=file://localhost/usr/local/lib/lynx_help/lynx_help_main.html

(or some path to a startfile)

or, in /usr/local/lib/lynx.cfg (whereever), set

   STARTFILE:file://localhost/usr/local/lib/lynx_help/lynx_help_main.html
