Sorry, unfortunately news reading capabilities in Lynx don't provide
such features and I don't think it's viable idea to enlarge Lynx into
full-scale newsreader with bells and whistles as there's already
several such programs available, although I've to admit that I wouldn't
mind few less dramatic improvements (hiding ugly "Status (ARTICLE
<number>): 423 Bad article number" texts from article lists and adding
References to followups).

If you're wanting to read news in fancier way than what Lynx provides,
I suggest you to install a dedicated news program, I know that atleast
Slrn[1] should run on VMS...
