the short answer is No (i believe);
the slightly less short answer is that Lynx gets ported around
when people with the ability & time get interested enough to work on it:
Lynx's much-praised strengths are all the result of volunteer labor.
so do inform your newsgroup friends that such efforts would be welcomed:
they should keep everyone informed of their progress via lynx-dev,
where they might perhaps find a bit of help from someone to get started.
