There have been several suggestions offered on the topic of
suppressing the "References: " list when doing a -dump.
Herewith, my contribution:
As I was Reading The Fine Manpage, I came across these
lines:
-nolist
disable the link list feature in dumps.
I tried it (lynx -dump -nolist <URL> > test.file), and, by
golly, it worked!
