Well, for one thing... I used to have --enable-nsl-fork on my machine, but
with 8MB RAM, it's just horrifically inefficient because when it fork()'s, it
copies over another 2MB of memory... and that thrashes my system to hell with 
swapping. I could live with --disable-nsl-fork though...
