I know that you have given some information in previous messages, but
let me ask the basic questions.
1. What platform are you working on?
2. Does the monitor have color capability?
3. What TERM setting are you using? Does it have color capability in
   the description?
4. Is lynx using TERMCAP or TERMINFO? 
5. In your option menu, is COLOR set to ON or OFF. Does changing this
   make a difference?
6. Did you build with slang, ncurses, or a native curses library?
7. If using ncurses or slang, you can change colors in lynx.cfg. Normal
   links are color #1, selected links are color #6. Did you change these,
   and if so, did it make a difference?
8. Was one of these binaries compiled with -DUNDERLINE_LINKS? Have you
   tried this to see how it works on your machine?
