you should update to 2-8 from  www.slcc.edu/lynx/release ;
2-8-1 will be out very shortly: preview at  sol.slcc.edu/lynx/current .
2-7 is  18 months  old, 2-4-2  c 3 years : very old for the Internet;
there have been many improvements in Lynx since then.
