lynx-dev Lynx not responding to process calls.....

Hi!  I love your lynx!

I have a problem, though:

I have a perl program that launches a lynx process to a
site.  The perl program, then, sends a "p", "\n", "filename.txt"
and a "Q".  Lynx gets launched, but, does not accept any of these
commands.  Any idea why?  I am able to do these commands manually,
but, lynx is not accepting the process commands.
