As I mentioned in a previous post, I have ported version 0.1pl2 of
bzip2 to DOS/DJGPP, but I have not been successful with the current
version (0.9.0b). I think the problem has to do with DJGPP's handling
of file descriptors. If anyone who works with DJGPP wants to help with
the porting of version 0.9.0b, so that we can keep portability of
lynx and its associated features, please write to me off the list. If
anyone wants to see the DOS version of bzip2 0.1pl2, I can put it up
on my server. Julian Seward, the author of bzip2, was waiting for the
port of the current version before making a pointer to the DOS port on
his web page.
