The degree of change affects the time of the release - either target a
near-term release, or go for late February.
As Henry notes, Bela (and others) think it's a waste to have two parsers
for config info. Putting LYReadCFG.c into table-driven form would go a
long way toward that - by letting us move the parser into a single place.
btw, LP points out that the help-message isn't gettext'd (it's not
trivial since the gettext scheme only works for function calls; the
help message is static strings - so that'll take some redesign to
make it both i18n and efficient).
