i've now reproduced this without using Screen & can read the message:
"A fatal error has occurred ... exiting with Signal 10":
this happens as soon as the screen has finished refreshing
for the recalled document from which the e-mailed document was linked to
(ie having e-mailed the document, i pop the stack once with left-arrow ).
it happens (apparently) only with the e-mail option on the Print screen
& only when i have gone some way down the e-mailed document:
it doesn't occur when i simply link to the latter & stop at the top (!).
this is an obscure -- but genuine -- bug in 2-8-1 :
please note carefully the sequence of commands which lead to it.
anyone have any suggestions yet?
i've encountered this when reading Financial Times (London),
which requires (free) registration: i'll test Washington Post next.
