no problem for me using 2-8-1rel.1 .  i access WP daily using
 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/WPlate/m-frontpage.html ,
reply  v  to the cookie prompt, then go down to the story listing,
which is continued under `The A Section'.

Eric Raymond sounds like a typical Texas huckster,
in contrast to Richard Stallman, who is mentioned only once.
FT had a much better article on the free software movement 9811.

there is probably an opportunity at the moment to get a story about Lynx
into one of the top papers, incl how our little club operates.
